She is new to the area and wants to attend more social opportunities to form more relationships in the community. L has lots of interests, including singing in a Choir and likes walking, hiking and playing Showdown. She would like to go to the gym. Main Duties To support with:· Support with developing her confidence in the community, particularly accessing public transport and getting to know the area.· Support to find and join new social opportunities and activities of interest.· Support to attend the gym, starting once a week.· Support to develop systems to manage laundry and cooking, to be able to lead an independent role in these areas.· Support with weekly food shop and purchasing new items of clothing (“confidence in choosing items that suit my style”) or household goods. Essential Criteria · Experience of working with a person with visual impairment· Non-smoker· Must have use of own vehicle. Desirable criteria: · Someone who is interested in make-up and fashion.· Keen to explore the outdoors.· An openness and awareness of cultural and religious differences. Personal Qualities & Attributes Required · Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy.· Excellent timekeeping.· Some previous PA experience would be advantageous but not essential.· Good communication and social skills.· To respect confidentiality and privacy. Location: Eastville, Bristol. Hours: 10 hours per week. 3 hrs Tuesday (6pm to 9pm), 4hrs Thursday (5pm to 9pm) and 3hrs Saturdays (9am to 12pm) Pay: £12.40 Per Hour.
