Reference: be Job Purpose We are looking to recruit an additional Support Worker to join an existing team who provide 2:1 support for an 10-year-old male child with Autism. Experience of working with children and young people with Autism would be an advantage. Main Duties The role is to enable the child to access age-appropriate leisure activities within the local community. You will also be required to help him with his communication skills, his personal care and be able to respond sensitively, confidently and positively to any changes in behaviour. A car driver is essential for this role and must have business insurance. An Enhanced DBS will be required, cost to be met by Employer. Hours 5 hours per week every Saturday. Plus, cover for holiday and any sickness absence wherever possible for other team members; with as much notice as possible being provided. Rate of pay £13.74 per hour. Holidays are 5.6 weeks per year, pro-rata. Out of pocket expenses will be met by the employer, e.g. mileage to and from home/activities; and cost of activities as agreed in advance with employer.
