You will become part of a team that delivers person-centred care and creates a safe and stimulating environment where everyone can achieve. Your new role: The role of support worker will consist of providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism or mental illness. You will be involved in the daily living of the individuals, providing personal care when necessary. A large part of the role is providing individuals with access to the community to participate in leisure activities and appointments. In this role, you have a real chance to have a positive impact on people's lives, promoting independence and improving standard of living. Shift patterns are days only 8am-8:30pm. What you will need to succeed: To succeed as support worker, experience in the social care sector is not essential for this role as you will be provided with training and a buddy to complete an induction. You must be committed to completing this training and any further training that may be required to progress as a support worker. Through this, you will be supported to gain qualifications and experience that will assist you in creating a career in social care. It is important that you are friendly and approachable, making it easy to communicate with both those you are caring for and your team. Due to the need for providing access to the community and transporting individuals, driving is essential for this role.
