As a Specialist Support Worker with Riverside at Carlisle Youth Foyer you will work as part of a small, supportive team delivering practical and emotional, asset‑based support to young people. The role combines hands‑on customer engagement and co‑production—linking customers into local services, carrying a small caseload of more complex individuals and managing risk while promoting independence. It is ideal for experienced carers and support workers, those returning to the sector or anyone seeking part‑time, family‑friendly hours; you’ll need recent experience of support work, caseload management and working with vulnerable, diverse groups, plus the ability to plan, prioritise and work calmly in challenging environments.

This is a fixed‑term role to 31 March 2026, 24 hours per week on a seven‑day rolling rota, with a pro‑rata salary of £30,302.64 (rising to £31,238.97 pro‑rata after 18 months).
