Support four women overnight in Hayle (TR27) as a Female Support Worker on waking nights, working 10pm–7am in a permanent, full‑time role with Discovery. You’ll provide compassionate, practical care throughout the night — regular “keeping safe” checks, personal care when needed, maintaining a clean and safe environment, creating a calm therapeutic atmosphere and supporting evening/night activities when residents wish to take part. The role involves accurate record‑keeping on digital systems (support plans, incident logs, health & safety records). Drivers are preferable due to occasional outings, an enhanced DBS is required and will be obtained by Discovery, and the female requirement is a genuine occupational need under the Equality Act 2010.

Earn £13.86 per hour for waking nights (this reflects a base rate plus a 10% night enhancement) with shifts paid monthly in arrears. Discovery is a Great Place To Work accredited employer and offers strong training and progression: Care Certificate training via a Skills for Care endorsed Centre of Excellence, access to a Level 2 Adult Care Worker apprenticeship, the Aspire development programme, and support to complete personal qualifications. Employee benefits include a salary advance scheme (up to 50% of pay before payday), a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, and a wellbeing listening network. Discovery is Disability Confident and will offer reasonable adjustments and a guaranteed interview for disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria.
