Play a vital role in keeping Furness General Hospital safe, clean and welcoming as a Domestic Support Worker Higher Level. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in clinical, public and external areas, planning and organising cleaning programmes with ward staff, operating cleaning machinery to manufacturers’ instructions and carrying out deep isolation and spot cleans in line with national and local guidance. The role requires careful use and disposal of cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH assessments, prompt reporting of equipment faults and a practical, caring approach to patient, visitor and staff safety.

This permanent, part‑time post is based in Barrow in Furness and offers 11.5 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday, 7.30am–1.45pm) on a pro‑rata salary of £24,465.
