Make a real difference supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and mental health challenges at Cauldon Place, Shelton Care (part of National Care Group) in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4 2DN). As a full-time, permanent Senior Support Worker you’ll be paid £13.91 per hour (circa £28,932.80 per year) and work in a residential setting delivering person-centred care. The role involves helping to assess support needs, shaping and developing new approaches to improve quality of care, and providing day-to-day leadership to the support team. Your day-to-day will draw on kindness, good listening, honesty and emotional insight as you help people achieve their goals and live as independently as possible, alongside a committed and experienced team.

This role is ideal for experienced carers — and for those whose caring experience comes from family life or other caring roles — who want progression, paid training and recognised qualifications while being valued for who they are. You’ll need a minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or be working towards it), the ability to motivate and manage a team and a full UK driving licence. National Care Group offers career development, an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity, wellbeing support, a Refer a Friend scheme and access to Wagestream to help manage your finances. If you don’t tick every box but have the right values and compassion, you’re encouraged to apply.
