Lead the Lighthouse 4 Floating Support Service in Newport on a part‑time (18.5 hours/week), permanent basis, delivering housing‑related support to help people maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness. This on‑site role pays £16.58 per hour (pro rata salary £15,949.50) and puts you at the heart of a service that gives practical advice on welfare rights and permanent housing options, monitors service delivery, manages the annual budget and income, and develops procedures. You will oversee a team of Floating Support Workers, build strong relationships with neighbourhoods, local businesses, commissioners and the council, and ensure clients receive the right support at the right time. The post is based in Newport, Wales and applications close on 19 November 2025, though early applications are welcomed as vacancies may close sooner.

This role suits experienced support workers ready to step into management: you should have a solid background in a support environment, leadership and management skills, confidence producing concise written reports, excellent communication and partnership working, and knowledge of homelessness issues. Pobl offers a supportive package tailored to carers and people balancing work with other responsibilities: part‑time hours, 26 days holiday pro‑rata (rising to 27 days after a year), pension, sick pay that increases with service, a dedicated learning and development pathway, wellbeing and psychological support, 45p per mile and clear routes for internal progression.
