In this role, you will have the opportunity to personally make a difference to our patients lives and the lives of their carers and relatives every single day. Our Healthcare Support Workers are at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting our Registered Nurses in planning, delivering and evaluating care. This will require you to: • be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals, both verbally and in writing; • share our commitment to maintaining high standards in everything we do; • demonstrate that you can work effectively within a team that behaves in accordance with our values. The Healthcare Support Worker role is varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We have opportunities in a number of areas including in our Unscheduled Care Department - this includes medical wards, ED and AAU. Working as a Healthcare Support Worker is a vital role within the team and if you’re positive, caring and have a can-do attitude – we want you to join us. It is essential that within your application you are able to demonstrate an understanding of the role and responsibilities, able to prove how you develop and maintain positive working relationships, along with evidencing how you would demonstrate our Trust values. You must be a minimum of 18 years old to apply for the role and be willing to work a minimum of 23 hours per week. You must be able to commit to the standard shift pattern for this role which includes long days, nights, weekend and bank holidays.
