You need to be prepared to assist with a wide variety of tasks, which could include personal care, medication, carrying out clinical observations, assisting with nutrition, drinking and washing, completing paperwork and reassuring the people you are supporting and their relatives. Key skills: Ability to communicate effectively, Compassionate nature, Courageous and resilient at a time of uncertainty and change, Relate easily to people, Commitment; this is not for the faint-hearted.
