As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in the Emergency Department at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust (based in Grimsby, DN32), you will work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centred care in a fast-paced acute setting. This permanent, full‑time role (salary circa £24,937–£26,598 per annum pro rata) involves observing and recording patient observations and test results, instigating emergency procedures when necessary, supporting patients with daily living tasks (personal care, eating, drinking and toileting), safe moving and handling (including hoist use), point‑of‑care testing, escorting patients and maintaining privacy, dignity and cultural sensitivity at all times. You will also be responsible for cleaning clinical equipment and accurately documenting care such as fluid balance, nutrition and observations, working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and within Trust policies.

This role is ideal for experienced carers or women seeking a rewarding, hands‑on clinical position with clear progression — you’ll be supported through a work‑based learning programme to complete a Level 2 or 3 HCSW Apprenticeship and the Care Certificate before taking on additional duties. The Humber Health Partnership offers a supportive, inclusive culture, flexible working options to help balance home and work life, and opportunities to develop within a large teaching hospital network.
