Care for people with specialist breathing needs in Manchester as a Nursing Assistant at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. This permanent, full-time role (salary c. £24,465–£26,598 pro rata) is based at the North West Ventilation Unit, a 12‑bed specialist service for patients requiring non‑invasive and invasive ventilation for conditions such as COPD, obesity-related respiratory issues, chest wall disease and neuromuscular disorders including MND and muscular dystrophies. Working under Registered Nurse supervision, you will support patients with personal care—mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and drinking—record observations and report changes in condition after on‑the‑job training. The post requires flexible working across a seven‑day rota, including bank holidays, and suits people who bring patience, compassion and strong team spirit to bedside care.

This role is ideal for experienced carers seeking Band 3 progression and for those new to healthcare who want structured development.
