Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapy Assistant to work in the busy outpatient physiotherapy service in Rochdale as part of the Northern Care Alliance. You will support qualified physiotherapists caring for mainly pre‑ and post‑surgical patients: delivering and supervising group classes, assessing, treating and managing your own caseload within an agreed competency framework, and providing hands‑on rehabilitation. The role also involves practical duties to keep the department running smoothly — stock ordering and monitoring, supporting infection control, contributing to audits, liaising with estates and carrying out administrative tasks. This is a permanent, part‑time post, offered pro‑rata at £27,485–£30,162, providing valuable clinical experience within a large integrated trust.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced therapy assistants or support workers who are team‑minded, motivated and looking for a role that fits around family or caring responsibilities — flexible working and protected hours for health and wellbeing are part of the package. The Northern Care Alliance offers clear opportunities for career development, competitive benefits including generous annual leave, and a supportive, Disability Confident culture that values care and appreciation.
