Advanced Practitioner (Occupational Therapist) — Brent Council, Wembley. Take a senior clinical and coaching role within the Access and Information Team, the first point of contact for residents seeking Adult Social Care support. You will carry out hands‑on OT assessments in people’s homes to promote independence and wellbeing, manage complex cases, and make evidence‑based recommendations on community equipment, adaptations and rehabilitation. The role includes supervising OT assistants and unqualified staff, providing specialist advice, mentoring colleagues to build professional confidence, and working across health and social care partners to deliver person‑centred, solution‑focused support that enables positive risk‑taking. Applicants must hold a recognised Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy, current HCPC registration and significant post‑qualification experience with adults with physical disabilities and older people, along with a sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding and reablement approaches.

This permanent full‑time role is based in Wembley with hybrid working of up to two days remote per week. Salary is £48,003–£51,138 plus an annual retention payment of £3,000 for eligible frontline staff and managers (PO2–PO7) and a £5,000 ‘golden hello’ for OTs new to Brent on successful completion of probation.
