Support people with complex needs in a warm supported living home in Wrenthorpe, West Yorkshire, as a full-time Support Worker for Real Life Options. Working 39 hours per week on a rotating rota (short shifts 7:00–15:00, 14:00–22:00 or 17:00–22:00, and long shifts 07:00–22:00), you will support six residents who use non-verbal communication. Day-to-day duties include personal care, mealtimes, medication support, cooking and household tasks, community activities and paid day trips, maintaining accurate care records and taking part in moving and handling tasks (wheelchairs and hoists). A driving licence is preferred because house vehicles are used for outings and appointments. No previous experience is required — full induction and accredited training are provided — so this role suits compassionate, reliable carers who want practical, hands-on work that truly matters.
Real Life Options offers a supportive culture with clear values (Respect, Honesty, Responsibility, Excellence) and a range of benefits designed for carers: 28+ days holiday (pro rata) including bank holidays, employer pension, £10,000 life cover, a Health Cash Plan, 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, discounts and wellbeing schemes, cycle-to-work options and development and recognition opportunities. The employer is Disability Confident and will make reasonable adjustments where needed.
