Support people recovering from stroke as an Assistant Speech & Language Therapist within the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals’ Stroke Rehabilitation Team. This part‑time role (£27,485–£30,162 pro rata) involves carrying out early assessments and delivering therapy under the direction of qualified Speech and Language Therapists to patients with communication and swallowing difficulties, helping them regain speech, find alternative ways to communicate, or relearn practical strategies. You will also prepare therapy resources, input data, help run therapy groups and complete administrative tasks. The post suits an empathetic, organised and adaptable individual who can work independently and as part of multi‑disciplinary teams; previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker or Therapy Assistant is helpful but not essential.
