Band 6: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum/pro-rata  PERMANENT

You will be supported by excellent team knowledge and experience on a formal/informal basis. Clinical and managerial supervision are augmented with profession specific supervision. We are investing heavily in training and preceptorships to develop staff skills. We have a thorough induction process.

The role will include undertaking the assessment of the young person's mental health needs alongside your colleagues. You'll be working 1-1 with young people in providing the treatment plan, drawing on a variety of interventions that may involve multi-agency networking where necessary.

You will be offered in house training in a number of evidence-based interventions, for example DBT skills, Mentalisation based therapy, motivational interviewing and compassionate focused therapy to name just a few.

The main duties of the job are:

  • Comprehensive assessment of children and young people presenting to the service. BANES CAMHS have a multi disciplinary clinic working with colleagues to assess and make the best plan for young people.
  • Shared formulation , risk assessment and care planning
  • Multi agency working
  • Delivery and/or oversight of collaborative treatment plan using evidence-based interventions
  • Support and supervision of colleagues
  • Being part of the on-call rota covering out of hours contact from professionals.
