Work as a Health Care Support Worker for Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, based at New Mill, Saltaire (BD18), delivering high-quality, compassionate care in people’s own homes across the North Bradford locality. You will be part of the planned community nursing team, carrying out care delegated by clinicians and receiving full training in wound care, diabetes management including insulin administration, enteral feeding regimes and medication administration. This permanent, full-time Band 3 role pays £24,937–£26,598 pro rata, operates on a seven-day rota with shifts that may run into the evening (up to 8–9pm), and requires an agile worker who can travel independently. Essential requirements include experience in an appropriate care role or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), GCSEs in Maths and English, willingness to achieve the Care Certificate within 10 weeks and a satisfactory DBS check.

This role is ideal for compassionate carers — particularly women seeking a flexible, hands-on community role with strong development pathways — offering apprenticeships and supported routes into pre-registration nursing or Nursing Associate training. The Trust promotes flexible working, enhanced mileage rates for higher mileage, a wide range of health and wellbeing support and ongoing learning opportunities within values-driven services. Please note the post is not eligible for Home Office sponsorship, so you must have the legal right to work in the UK.
