Lead and shape the early years complex needs service across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin as Children's SLT Team and Clinical Lead (Early Years Complex Care) with Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. Based at Monkmoor Campus, Shrewsbury (SY2 5SH), this Band 7, permanent post (salary £47,810–£54,710) offers full-time hours with flexible working and a negotiable mix of clinical and leadership time. You will provide specialist clinical leadership for young children with severe and complex speech, language and communication needs, work closely with parents, health and education partners, and contribute to service redesign including ELSEC Year 2 priorities and wider early years models of care.
This role is aimed at experienced HCPC‑registered SLTs and RCSLT members with postgraduate or advanced experiential training and a track record in complex need caseloads, autism, risk management and service change. The Trust emphasises supportive professional structures — peer review, supervision, rich CPD and routes to Advanced Clinical Practice — and welcomes flexible working and applications from people needing sponsorship.
