An opportunity with Hywel Dda University Health Board based at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen (SA31), for a Senior Occupational Therapy Support Worker to deliver delegated occupational therapy interventions on the medical wards. You will support occupational therapists to assess and rehabilitate patients with conditions such as respiratory and cardiac illness, frailty and traumatic brain injury, working in hospitals, people’s homes and community settings. The role includes supporting safe discharge and occasional post‑discharge outreach, undertaking specific assessments and interventions as part of a care plan, contributing to team operations and administration (data entry, audits), and travelling within Carmarthenshire. You will be part of a multidisciplinary network with Health, Local Authority and third sector partners and will receive formal and informal supervision and ongoing learning opportunities.

This permanent, part‑time Band 4 post offers a salary of £27,898 to £30,615 per annum (pro rata) and is well suited to carers and women seeking meaningful, hands‑on clinical work with flexibility and professional development. Applicants should have relevant Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience (or be willing to complete Level 4 where required), good IT, numeracy and communication skills, and prior experience in a therapy service or related field; DBS clearance is required. Welsh language ability is desirable and support to learn is available.
