Croft Medical Centre in Leamington Spa (CV31) is looking for a compassionate Health Care Assistant to join its large, urban GMS teaching practice serving around 14,700 patients. Working part-time in purpose-built premises, you will be part of a friendly, patient‑centred nursing team that includes HCAs, nursing associates and practice nurses, with excellent management and administrative support. This role suits organised, caring individuals—particularly women carers who value hands‑on clinical work, flexible hours and regular CPD. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and a DBS check are required; the practice is a high QOF achiever and supportive of further learning and development, including discussing any special areas of interest and accommodating the right candidate.
Day‑to‑day duties include vaccinations (B12, flu, pneumococcal, shingles), phlebotomy and venepuncture, BP and NHS health checks, diabetic foot checks, wound dressings and suture removal, INR and doppler checks, assistance with minor procedures and chaperone duties, plus accurate record‑keeping, vaccine cold‑chain management and infection‑control responsibilities.
