Band 3 Coordinator and Administration Assistant supporting the Interim Care Team at University Hospitals Dorset, based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital (Castle Lane East) and covering Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals. This hands‑on administrative role sits at the centre of the early supported discharge pathway: you'll co‑ordinate referrals and discharges, collect and manage data, handle telephone and email enquiries, produce accurate reports to tight deadlines and organise therapy assistants’ timetables to ensure safe home visits. You will work closely with therapists, nurses, social work teams and discharge keyworkers and report to the Clinical Leads; occasional weekend working may be required. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term (9 months) Band 3 post, salary £24,937–£26,598 per annum and is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Well suited to experienced carers, therapy assistants or organised administrators with NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent), recent health or social care experience and confident IT skills (Excel/Word/Outlook), the role rewards attention to detail, initiative and compassionate communication. University Hospitals Dorset promotes collaborative values and ongoing service development, offering a professional, people‑centred environment where your practical care experience will directly help patients regain independence at home. Applicants who may require Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered; interview date is 25 November 2025.
