Do you have a can-do attitude and take pride in your work?University Hospitals Dorset are looking for Housekeeping Assistants to join #TeamUHD.We are looking for a highly motivated and organised persons, who will become part of a team of Housekeeping Assistants who facilitate the flow of patients throughout the hospital.You'll be organised and able to communicate effectively - ensuring wards and departments are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.Duties include:To work as part of a team or alone, providing a high standard of domestic service to patients, staff and visitors within Clinical/Non-Clinical Wards/Departments and Theatres.Delivering prioritised cleans, ensuring patient flow throughout the hospitals.Permanent roles available:Monday - Sunday 06:00 - 14:00 ( 4 days out of 7) = 30 hours per week - 1 roleMonday - Friday 16:00 - 22:00 = 30 hours per week - 1 roleMonday 17:00-22:00 Tuesday 17:00-22:00, Saturday 10:00-15:00 & 15:00-23:00, Sunday 10:00-15:00 & 15:00-23:00 - 35 hours per weekBase Location: Royal Bournemouth HospitalInterview Date: 27th November 2025

Main duties of the job
To work as part of a team or alone, providing a high standard of domestic service to patients, staff and visitors within Clinical/Non-Clinical Wards/Departments and Theatres.You will be following the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2025 to deliver the high standards we would all expect when using a hospital. Fully supported by a team of supervisors to guide you through training and full understanding of your important role within our team.
