Support patients across the Isle of Wight as a Centralised Booking Service Support Officer based at Isle of Wight NHS Trust in Newport (PO30). You will be the first point of contact for outpatient, diagnostic and elective admissions, managing the full elective care pathway to ensure bookings meet RTT and Trust standards. Daily duties include booking, amending and confirming appointments on NHS systems, handling inbound and outbound calls, emails and face‑to‑face enquiries, processing cancellations and pathway updates, and working closely with speciality leads to use clinic and theatre capacity effectively. The role suits organised, calm communicators with strong attention to detail; previous healthcare experience is helpful but not essential, and full local induction and training are provided. This is a permanent, full‑time role at Agenda for Change Band 2 (£24,465 pro rata) based in Newport; a DBS check is required and the Trust will consider sponsorship applications where applicable.

The Trust values compassionate, accountable and inclusive care and offers practical benefits that appeal to carers and women seeking flexibility: onsite nursery, cycle‑to‑work scheme, local discounts, and flexible working arrangements where the service allows, plus extra perks such as access to the Trust’s beach hut at Ryde. The Isle of Wight lifestyle — short ferry links and great coastline — makes this a supportive place to balance work and life.
