Make a real difference each day as a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One’s York home (YO31), where kindness guides every decision and interaction. You’ll lead a team of Care Assistants to plan and deliver personalised care that protects dignity, independence and a sense of security for residents across Dementia, Nursing and Residential services. The role involves practical care support – from helping with mobility and mealtimes to administering medication and offering end-of-life comfort – plus providing meaningful physical and mental stimulation through activities and strong family liaison. Accurate record-keeping, good time management and the ability to support colleagues and assist Registered Nurses and the Care Manager are essential; a DBS check is required. The position is permanent and full-time, paying between £14.75–£15.35 per hour, and suits compassionate, confident carers who either hold or are ready to work towards Level 2/Level 3 qualifications in Adult Social Care and who have experience or an interest in person-centred dementia care.
