Work mornings at Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s Wakefield HQ as a Fleet Ancillary Premise Cleaner (HQ AM) in a permanent, part‑time role. Shifts start at 5am or 6am with five‑hour shifts, typically Monday–Friday (optional 25 hours/week), paid at Band 2, £12.50 per hour. You’ll be responsible for site and station cleaning, decontamination and infection prevention across foyers, kitchens, toilets, gyms, offices, crew rooms and external areas, keeping stock levels, recording daily activities and responding to urgent spillages or deep‑clean requests. The role requires basic IT use (emails, timesheets), a short Physical Capability Assessment before appointment and a DBS check.
This position suits dependable, caring people who value predictable morning hours—ideal for those juggling family or caring responsibilities. Training is provided, including NVQ Level 2 and NCFE IPC Level 2, and you’ll benefit from NHS terms such as a contributory pension, annual leave that increases with service, staff discounts and wellbeing support. The job calls for flexibility for occasional site changes and bank‑holiday cover, and you’ll work to clear Trust cleaning protocols either independently or as part of a team.
