Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to work within our Integrated Discharge Team (IDT) at Eastbourne District General Hospital.As part of the Physiotherapy department, you will be joining a big supportive team passionate about caring for the residents of East Sussex. You will have the opportunity to attend an in-service training programme and complete supervision sessions with your line manager. You will also work closely alongside the IDT Occupational Therapy team and the wider multi disciplinary team, including our newly appointed Advanced Practitioner to the team.

Main duties of the job
As part of this role you will work with a team of Physiotherapists providing a high level of assessment and rehabilitation to the patients of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust; including Frailty, General medicine and palliative care.You will be required to work alongside the Physiotherapists and also autonomously carrying out exercise programmes, maintenance programmes and rehabilitation sessions planned by a Physiotherapist.You will be responsible for completing data inputting and assisting with the ordering of equipment through the Millbrook system to ensure timely discharge for patient's across the trust.If you would like a rewarding career in the NHS then this is the post for you.
