Support children and families across Sheffield as a Senior Clinical Support Worker with Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. This permanent Band 3 role (salary £24,937–£26,598 pro rata, with the Trust uplift to the Real Living Wage) provides hands-on, family‑centred care for babies, children and young people (0–18) across several sites including Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Northern General, Ryegate Assessment Unit, Centenary House and the new NCCHT building opening in 2026. You will work alongside paediatric nurses to assess patients, plan and deliver day‑to‑day care, assist with personal and clinical tasks (including tracheostomy, catheter and wound care under supervision), support feeding (tube and oral), take observations and bloods, help with venepuncture and blood glucose monitoring, and keep clinics safe and well stocked. Clinics run mainly Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00 with some evening and weekend shifts; both full‑time and part‑time patterns are available.

This post is ideal for committed carers — particularly women seeking a rewarding, people‑focused role — who already have experience in health or social care and hold (or are willing to complete) a Level 2 vocational award and Care Certificate, with progression to Level 3 supported. The Trust offers practical training and development under experienced paediatric nurses, generous leave and pension benefits, health and wellbeing support, and an inclusive culture guided by compassion and respect. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required; skilled worker sponsorship is considered for eligible applicants (part‑time posts are not sponsored).
