Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to work with our Occupational Therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients in the Stroke and Neurology service.The successful candidate will be the Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting the therapy team on Beech Ward, St Margaret's Hospital, and in the stroke ESD service in the community across West Essex.

Main duties of the job
ROLE SUMMARYWithin the West Essex ESD Stroke and Neurology Service, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the Occupational Therapists with day to day delivery of service for patients on the Beech Ward Inpatient Rehab Unit and on the West Essex ESD caseload. This will include assessment and manualised treatment for patients on a one to one basis, or in groups, audit and data management, equipment assessment and ordering, and supporting service development projects. This will be under the direction of a qualified Occupational Therapist who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work delegated to and carried out, provided that the clinical work is within the team protocols and care plan specified.
