An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated healthcare assistants to join our Emergency Department at Colchester Hospital.There is the option for a fixed term position until 9th August 2026.Healthcare assistants are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses in providing high quality care to our patients.Do you want to be part of a team with an excellent reputation for delivering a high standard of care, ensuring we keep our patients safe and that they have a positive

under our care.If you like a challenge, are able to work at a very fast pace, enjoy working within a team and can give our patients the dignified care they deserve then this could be the job for you.Our Healthcare Assistant's work a rota pattern, so you MUST be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends including Bank Holidays for example Christmas Day. We are unable to offer set shifts patterns.
Main duties of the job
To meet the direct and indirect care needs of patients under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines.To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team.To work within the boundaries of the role of the HCA and refer to the Registered Nurse as appropriate.
