Create fresh, seasonal menus and make a real difference to residents’ daily lives as a Bank Chef with Barchester Healthcare in Gosmore (SG4 7QH). You’ll assist the Head Chef and cover in their absence, working closely with residents to tailor nutritious, flavoursome and well-balanced dishes while maintaining HACCP standards, managing stock and budgets, and helping to lead and motivate a small, supportive kitchen team. This bank role offers flexible working, day shifts with alternate weekends (no split shifts), a focus on work–life balance and a pay rate of £17.81 per hour.

This opportunity is ideal for qualified chefs (City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent) who have experience with fresh seasonal cooking, a good understanding of nutrition, and the ability to inspire a team with a warm, person-centred approach.
