Help protect people’s sight across Cumbria as a Retinal Screener / Grader based at Ulverston Health Centre (LA12 7BT). You’ll deliver Diabetic Eye Screening Programme clinics, using routine digital screening and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging, analyse retinal images to spot diabetic eye disease and follow service grading pathways. The post includes mobile clinics across the locality, so a full UK driving licence (manual) is required to transport screening kit, and if you haven’t already got it you’ll complete the Level 3 Health Screener Diploma within 18 months with training provided.
This permanent, full-time Band 4 role (salary £27,485–£30,162 pro rata) suits organised, compassionate carers and clinic staff who enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
