Main duties of the job
The Breeze @ Musgrove Park Hospital is a busy restaurant. As a Catering Assistant, you will be an essential part of the team, helping to ensure the efficient operation of our hospital catering service. Your duties will include:Food preparation - making sandwiches, rolls, salads, and more, following recipe cards and established procedures.Serving food and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors in our hospital's retail outlets and wards.Stock management - unloading, storing, and picking food items, including refrigerated and frozen goods.Cleaning and hygiene - ensuring catering areas, kitchens, and equipment are maintained to high standards, following HACCP procedures and recording on Kelsius.Till operation - processing sales and handling cash/card transactions in our cafes and food outlets.Supporting hospital functions - preparing and delivering catering for events and meetings.Following food safety standards - complying with all hygiene and safety regulations, including allergens and infection control.
