Support Medical Secretary - Surgery and Digestive Diseases at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a hands-on medical secretarial role based in Bradford (BD9) offering a permanent, Band 3 post (£24,937–£26,598 pa pro rata) with full-time and flexible working patterns. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team supporting surgeons and the Digestive Diseases service, producing and proofreading clinical letters and reports, performing audio transcription and word‑processing, managing diaries and in‑patient waiting lists, and maintaining patient records and pathway data via EPR and other IT systems. The role involves sensitive telephone contact with patients and families, liaison with clinicians and service managers, routine office duties (filing, scanning, mail) and occasional support for training new staff — all requiring strong organisation, accuracy and the ability to work with minimal supervision and to deadlines.

This opportunity will suit organised, compassionate people — particularly those balancing caring responsibilities — who have good literacy and numeracy, excellent keyboard and IT skills and a calm, professional manner.
