An experienced forensic, clinical or counselling psychologist is sought by Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust to join the community Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway based at Chiron Community, Maidstone ME15 6SJ. This largely clinical, permanent, part‑time Band 8a role (salary £55,690–£62,682 pro rata) involves specialist assessment, formulation and therapeutic work with people who have complex personality difficulties, neurodiversity and forensic histories. You will provide consultation and supervision to probation PDUs across Kent, support the PIPE unit at Fleming House and the Kent Chiron IIRMS, contribute to research and service evaluation, and work within a multidisciplinary, trauma‑informed team. The post requires Chartered status, HCPC registration, significant post‑qualification experience and access to a car for travel across probation sites; at this stage applications are open to colleagues employed within Kent & Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent & Medway ICB only.

This is an excellent role for psychologists who want to make a tangible difference in forensic mental health while maintaining a work–life balance: the part‑time format, strong supervision culture and emphasis on self‑care make it especially suitable for carers and women seeking flexible senior clinical work. KMPT is an inclusive, CQC‑rated Good Trust with established CPD, teaching and leadership opportunities — you will lead on supervision, deliver training, and help embed evidence‑based, recovery‑centred practice across services.
