Appointment Coordinator at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (Denmark Hill, London SE5) — permanent, full‑time Band 3 role paying £24,937–£26,598 pa (including HCA). You will manage cardiac diagnostic and outpatient bookings, maintain waiting lists and the appointments system, and provide reception cover for non‑invasive diagnostics when needed. Day‑to‑day duties include agreeing appointment dates by phone, sending letters, recording patient activity, filing, scanning and distributing reports, reporting weekly waits, and dealing with DNAs in line with departmental policy. You’ll liaise sensitively with patients, the multi‑disciplinary team and other departments, safeguard confidential information and work independently to prioritise a busy, varied workload.

This role suits organised, caring people — particularly women and those with a background in caring or admin who enjoy combining empathy with excellent organisational skills. Essential requirements include GCSEs (Grade C or equivalent) in English and Maths; prior healthcare administration experience and familiarity with systems such as Epic are desirable. A DBS check and mandatory safeguarding and infection‑control training are required.
