Care for people with dementia on the Oasis Unit, a small ten‑bed medical ward at Rochdale Infirmary. As a Health Care Assistant you’ll support registered nurses with personal care, moving and handling, repositioning and skin integrity, prompting eating and drinking, completing fluid and food charts, assisting with meaningful activities and reminiscence therapy, carrying out equipment and safety checks, maintaining a clean ward environment and accurate records. Shifts are rotational across days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. This is a permanent, full‑time Band 3 post (£24,937–£26,598), working within a close‑knit team of nursing staff, therapists and an activities co‑ordinator.

This role is ideal for compassionate carers with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and experience in health or social care who value hands‑on, purposeful work and team support.
