As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One’s York home (YO30), you will lead and support a small team to deliver thoughtful, person-centred care across dementia, nursing and residential settings. The role involves planning and implementing individual care plans, helping residents with mobility and daily living tasks, supporting people at end of life, assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication and clinical duties, and creating stimulating social activities that preserve dignity and independence. Strong record-keeping, a calm, organised approach and genuine compassion are essential — whether you already hold a Level 2 qualification in Adult Social Care or want to progress to Level 3, you’ll receive the training and support to grow in the role.
This permanent, full-time post works on a 3 on / 3 off rota (8am–8pm and night shifts available) and pays £13.50–£14.10 per hour, with a £2,000 Welcome Bonus.
