Based at Princess Street Surgery in Gorseinon (Swansea SA4 4US), this permanent, part‑time Health Care Assistant role sits at the heart of a busy, multidisciplinary GP practice serving around 7,500 patients. You will work under the supervision of registered clinicians to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care — carrying out phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring (including 24‑hour BP), ECGs, urinalysis, health checks, basic wound care and dressings, and supporting minor procedures. There are opportunities to administer vaccinations and injections under Patient Specific Directions if trained, to act as a chaperone, manage specimens and cold‑chain storage, maintain infection‑prevention standards and keep clinical areas well stocked. The practice is a forward‑thinking training environment with GPs, nurses, a pharmacist and nurse practitioner, offering real variety and close team support.

This post is ideal for experienced carers or women looking for a flexible, meaningful role that combines hands‑on clinical work with patient education and health promotion. Essential requirements include relevant healthcare qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or 4, or working towards) and experience in a healthcare setting; a DBS check will be requested. The role encourages ongoing training, appraisal and career development within an inclusive practice that supports registrars and service improvement. Salary is dependent on experience and sponsorship applications are considered. To apply, click the "Apply Now" button alongside this advert — this vacancy is listed on jobsincare.com.
