Use your lived experience of recovery to make a real difference for people with complex mental health needs in Stroud. As a Peer Support Worker with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust you’ll work within the Assertive Outreach Team to support people with treatment‑resistant psychosis, frequent admissions or at‑risk placements. This part‑time, permanent post (15 hours per week) is band 3, paid pro rata (£24,937–£26,598) and involves co‑facilitating groups, one‑to‑one mentoring, helping families, carrying out risk‑aware practice, keeping accurate records and building links with VCSE partners and local care providers to promote recovery and community integration.

This role is aimed at people who have lived experience of moderate to severe mental health challenges and are ready to use that experience professionally. You’ll receive regular supervision, reflective practice and training, with the opportunity to discuss a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship.
