Make a real difference on the wards at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust as a Healthcare Support Worker based at Royal Bournemouth Hospital (BH7). This permanent role (Band 3; Band 2 initially if you don’t yet hold the care certificate) involves hands‑on patient care on Ward 14 (Endocrine) and Ward 3 (Medical Specialities). You’ll help with observations, nutrition and personal care, work closely with nursing teams and follow clear clinical instruction. No previous NHS experience is required — the Trust provides a bespoke induction, care certificate support, ward mentors and ongoing training. The post offers Agenda for Change pay (£24,937–£26,598 pa pro rata), flexible full‑time and part‑time hours and shift patterns across weekdays, weekends, nights and bank holidays. Please note selection includes numeracy and literacy assessments, an interview and a DBS check; sponsorship is not available and some services may move sites as part of the Trust’s development programme.
