Lead specialist occupational therapists will take charge of Rapid Response, Falls Pick Up and Intermediate Care within the Integrated Urgent Community Response Service based at Beaumont House, Mile End Hospital (E1 4DG). This Band 7 post combines hands-on community rehabilitation with strategic clinical leadership: you will assess and treat adults and older people with complex physical and long‑term conditions, deliver discharge‑to‑assess interventions, prevent avoidable admissions and work closely with physiotherapists, nurses, social workers and GPs. The role is autonomous, clinically demanding and centred on evidence‑based, person‑centred practice. The team runs a seven‑day rota covering core hours 08:00–20:00 with shifts of 08:00–16:00 and 12:00–20:00, so you’ll work across community and hospital sites to provide rapid, coordinated care.
This permanent, full‑time position (Band 7: £56,276–£63,176 pa) suits experienced OTs who hold an OT degree, HCPC registration and at least three years’ post‑registration clinical experience including community work. You will supervise and develop junior therapists, students and support workers, shape service delivery and contribute to training and service development. East London NHS Foundation Trust values inclusivity, respect and compassionate care — making this an excellent next step for therapists seeking leadership, career progression and meaningful impact.
