A hands-on FM Supervisor role (Band 3) based at the St. Aubyn Centre, Colchester (CO4 5HG). This part‑time post is 20 hours per week on a two‑week rota and is paid £24,937–£26,598 pro rata (approx. £12.75–£13.60ph) with attractive unsocial hours uplifts for weekend work. You will co‑supervise facilities services, act as the customers’ day‑to‑day contact and use a Trust vehicle to support cleaning, catering, portering, goods receiving, linen and laundry management. The role includes ensuring National Standards of Cleanliness, food safety and health & safety compliance, assisting with meal regeneration, laundry standards, deliveries, site duties (gritting, waste management) and supporting FM Assistants. A DBS check is required and applicants must have the right to work in the UK; the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship.
Ideal for practical, organised people—especially carers looking for predictable, part‑time hours that still offer variety and responsibility. The Trust values Care, Learn and Empower and provides excellent training, NHS discounts, season ticket loans, salary sacrifice schemes and the option to join the staff bank for extra shifts. The concentrated shift pattern and weekend premium make it easier to balance family commitments while boosting earnings; using a Trust vehicle helps with travel between community sites.
