As a Receptionist/Care Navigator at Lance Lane Medical Centre you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing the front desk, booking and cancelling appointments, handling prescription requests, scanning and filing correspondence, and carrying out general administration. The role is largely patient‑facing and includes answering and directing telephone calls, registering new patients and processing records using EMIS (training available if required). This is a permanent, part‑time post of 16–20 hours per week, with shifts on Wednesdays and Thursday and Friday afternoons; a flexible approach to start and finish times is needed. We’re looking for someone with excellent customer‑service skills, a calm, organised manner, and a willingness to learn — primary care or EMIS experience is desirable but not essential. The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

This vacancy will particularly suit caring, organised people — often women balancing family or caring responsibilities — who want community‑focused work with predictable hours and a supportive team. Lance Lane Medical Centre is a family‑orientated GP practice in Wavertree, South Liverpool (L15), serving around 6,500 patients; the practice is CQC‑rated Good, part of the CWN PCN and was awarded Practice Team of the Year 2023, so you’ll be joining a recognised, development‑minded workplace.
