Take on a pivotal finance role supporting Specialist Commissioning and Health & Justice for NHS England, based at Regatta Place, Liverpool (L3 4BL). This Band 6, full-time post (37.5 hours) is fixed term to 31 March 2027 with a salary of £38,682–£46,580. You’ll handle management accounting tasks including month‑end and year‑end processes, Agreement of Balances, Oracle/SBS use and Excel analysis; act as finance lead for independent sector contracts; produce forecasts and variance analysis; and work closely with Supplier Managers, pharmacists, Integrated Care Boards and providers to help services deliver better outcomes for patients. A degree or equivalent experience is required; specialist commissioning experience is helpful but not essential, and there’s scope to progress towards CCAB-style qualifications.
This role suits someone who values practical, visible impact and a sensible work–life balance — especially carers or women seeking a stable NHS role with flexible working and genuine support for reasonable adjustments during onboarding. NHS England offers virtual/home working options, a culture that values diversity and patient-focused outcomes, and the chance to develop commercial and stakeholder skills in a collaborative regional team. The vacancy is listed on jobsincare.com — to apply, please click the "Apply Now" button that appears alongside this listing. Applications close on 19 October 2025.
