Job summary
We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, compassionate, flexible and creative in their approach and can work alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide quality and effective administrative support.As part of the Community Paediatric Medic Administrative Team you will provide administrative support to the Clinical Administrators and their designated Clinical/Medical staff. Supporting to maintain an effective office system(s) for the delivery and maintenance of Medical Appointments/Reviews, being flexible and use own initiative to organise and prioritise own workload.You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, benefiting from a comprehensive supervision and appraisal system, with a commitment to staff development.You will demonstrate an enthusiasm for professional development and will be motivated to further your understanding and skills through various training opportunities.Toeffectively manage self, workloadSupport with telephone calls for appointments and general enquiries, passing any queries as needed to appropriate Clinical AdminstratorTelephone contact with families when requiredDealing with all queries and directing as appropriateTo ensure that a high level of patient care is demonstrated at all times and that the privacy and dignity if all families and young people isProvide comprehensive administrative support to the Team, and work closely with the Medical Secretaries
Main duties of the job
Telephone contact with families when required, for instance to rearrange appointments if necessary, convey messages from clinicians and liaise with other agencies (ie schools and referrers)Open post and scan any paperwork received, ensuring clinically urgent requests are passed to the appropriate Clinical AdministratorManagement of inboxesAdhoc administrative support to the wider Team, including Reception Cover.
