Based at Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen (SA31), this permanent, part‑time Band 3 Nursing Support Worker role sits within the Outpatients team of Hywel Dda University Health Board. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses, you’ll carry out practical, patient‑facing duties such as chaperoning, supporting patients during procedures, preparing and decontaminating clinical areas, restocking supplies and helping to record patient information on hospital systems. The post involves working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, following Health Board policies, reporting incidents and maintaining patient confidentiality. The ability to work at other sites within the Health Board may be required, and Welsh speakers are especially welcome.

This role is aimed at experienced carers, returners to the workforce and health care assistants who hold (or can demonstrate the equivalent of) a Level 3 health‑care qualification and solid experience in direct patient care; statutory nursing or midwifery registration is not required. You’ll receive protected study days, mandatory training and opportunities to develop skills (including support to learn Welsh), with pay at Agenda for Change Band 3 (£25,313–£26,999 pro rata) and essential DBS checks. Skilled worker sponsorship will be considered where needed.
