As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in the Emergency Department at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby DN32), you will work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver safe, high-quality clinical care. This permanent, full-time Band 3 role (pay £24,937–£26,598 pro rata) involves assessing patients through observations and tests, instigating emergency procedures when needed, supporting patients with personal care and daily activities, and practising safe moving and handling using hoists and other equipment. You will carry out point-of-care testing, escort patients across departments, clean and prepare clinical equipment, and accurately record observations, fluid balance and other patient information. The post is supervised by Registered Nurses, training is provided and you will be expected to complete a work-based learning programme (Level 2 or 3 HCSW Apprenticeship and the Care Certificate) before undertaking additional clinical duties; a DBS check is required.
