Based at Ashcroft Surgery in Eccleshill, Bradford (BD10 0JE), this Experienced Healthcare Assistant position places you at the heart of a busy, multi‑disciplinary GP practice serving around 8,900 patients. You will provide hands‑on clinical and administrative support under the lead nurse and GPs — adult phlebotomy, ECGs, blood pressure and urinalysis, chronic disease monitoring in line with QOF, wound care and suture removal (if trained), plus support for vaccination programmes and NHS Health Checks. The role also includes maintaining accurate SystmOne records, supporting audits, recall systems and infection‑control to meet CQC standards, assisting with procedures and offering initial urgent assessments when needed. Please note this post is for experienced HCAs only and is not suitable for Care Assistants.

This permanent, part‑time role offers flexible hours within a warm, supportive practice that values training and staff development — you’ll work alongside GPs, practice nurses, physiotherapists, social prescribers and specialist clinics, with opportunities to mentor students and trainees. Essential requirements include prior HCA experience in primary care or hospital, adult phlebotomy, NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent), GCSEs in English and Maths and current UK professional registration; a DBS check will be required. The position is particularly appealing to women and carers seeking meaningful, family‑friendly work where clinical skills are respected and grown.
