At Wiltshire Council’s Meadow Lodge in Chippenham (SN15 3PE) you’ll work as a Casual Support Worker on the bank, covering day services and short breaks. The role is person-centred and hands-on: supporting personal care, daily living skills, menu planning, medication administration where required, community activities, tenancy support and household tasks. Expect varied duties including sleep‑in and waking night shifts, evenings and weekends; you’ll be asked to be flexible, physically able and ready to travel between settings as needed.
This opportunity is well suited to compassionate carers — particularly women balancing family or other commitments — who want meaningful, flexible shifts with supervision and training. Pay is £13.47–£13.90 an hour and the post is subject to a DBS check; candidates need GCSE-level education (or equivalent), fluent English and a willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care. Wiltshire Council promotes an inclusive “One Council” culture with clear safeguarding and regular supervision. To be considered, please click the Apply Now button that appears alongside this advert.
